How Boruto Was Born
After a scuffle with Iwabee, Boruto is appointed class leader for the trip to Kirigakure. While there, he takes part in various trials orchestrated by Kagura Karatachi.
The heiress spars with him, easily overwhelming and outwitting him. This leads him to speculate that he may have manifested his Byakugan.
Boruto and Team 7 aid the village of Green Banks against bandits. However, they soon learn that the bandits are actually shinobi. When they confront one of them, he uses genjutsu to control the villagers and subdue them. Afterwards, he asks Mitsuki to use his snake to have Kokuri transferred into the access-restricted prison cell.
While on their way to the Land of Fire’s border, they intercept a foe named Urashiki. While distracting him with a clone, Boruto utilises his Jogan to perceive their foe’s dimensional hopping.
Upon learning from Isshiki that the marking on his right hand is a genetic backup of Orochimaru’s branding Otsutsuki, Boruto develops a natural compatibility with it and is able to instinctively synchronise with its power at a rapid rate. This is despite not having any formal training with it.
Sasuke is a dark, obsessive character who is engulfed in his desire for revenge. He is a natural genius when it comes to Ninja arts, but he has a gloomy outlook on life due to the fact that he is always focused on his goals and vengeance.
He is also a talented fighter, which has earned him the nickname “the Black Reaper.” He and his brother Itachi are among the most powerful warriors in the world.
When he is not fighting, he works with his team to protect people in need. He once helped a man named Deepa who was under a death threat. As the genin were about to leave, they were approached by a masked attacker who wanted a ransom. Boruto attempted an all-or-nothing Rasengan, but the attack was ineffective against the man’s impervious body.
Sarada is a quiet but strong-willed young girl who cares deeply for her friends. She has the potential to become a Hokage due to her father’s bloodline, but is often discouraged by her lack of power. Nevertheless, she is determined to keep her friends together and works hard to support them.
During the Genin Exams, Boruto was easily able to pass the written test. However, during the practical test, he was unable to catch up with Mugino and Konohamaru.
After watching a food competition that pitted the Akamichi against outsiders, Boruto realised that the promoters were rigging the match to favour their team. He stepped in to ensure the competition was fair.
While Iwabee is not as skilled as his peers, he has an uncanny ability to read people. This allows him to take a more measured approach to missions, as he can tell when someone is being genuine or not.
He also has a high-level of proficiency in Space-Time Ninjutsu, allowing him to manipulate time and dimensions. In fact, he is so adept at this technique that he can now create clones of himself.
During the Kara Actuation Arc, Iwabee helped Team 7 find Anato’s last known location. While investigating, they were attacked by autonomous puppets that Katasuke subdued. This led Iwabee to wonder whether he could use his own Rasengan. He learned that he can now control it at full size with one hand, as well as compress it for greater power.
Momoshiki is a spirit that has taken control of Boruto and is determined to make him his vessel. He is able to manipulate the elements around him, including creating a burst of wind powerful enough to repel Sasuke’s Lightning Flash shuriken. He also possesses an impressive amount of chakra, with reserves capable of destroying a God Tree.
He is a talented schemer, able to create variations of techniques he has absorbed from others. He can also use the Rasengan, originally as a small ball between his hands or at normal size. He can even compress it for greater power.
During the Genin exams, Sukea encouraged Boruto to focus on his goals and plan ahead. Momoshiki then appeared and noted that while he couldn’t foresee his own fate, he saw that the one who defeats God ceases to be an ordinary person.
